About me

If someone asks me to introduce myself I often answer: ''Hey, my name is Jördis and I'm 15 years old!"

Short, close, meaningless.

Next question (with questioning expression): "WHAT'S YOUR NAME???"
"JÖRDIS." - slowly repeted.
"Ah. I never heard this name before. Where does it come from?" "It's the goddess of swords in Iceland." "So are your parents from Iceland?" "No."
The first conversation always starts like this. To skip that, here's a short introduction of myself.

Name and age should be clear now. My family and I live in a small village im Saxony (Germany) for 10 years. For the next two years I'll burn in Itlay.
"Burn" is a good keyword (and no, not because of the red hair. Witch burning is no longer popular, even in my village). Every summer I get sunburnt while I work as a life guard at the nearby lake. The Water Rescue Team is my second family. We're not only swimming but also work together with the Rescue Service and the Red Cross. Frequently I do medical services at sport events and concerts.
Moreover I do music and art myself, am a member of a Youth Community (young Christians) and go to swim training as often as possible.
If I ask people how they would describe me, they often say: Open-minded, helpful and friendly. I would describe myself as strange. Nevermind.

When we were preparing this blog Amara has suggested to insert our favourite quote. I don't have one so I'll cite the first one I'll see.

Quote

Täglich beleben Menschen ihre Masken erneut, bis sie sich selbst nicht mehr erkennen. Vermutlich kommt daher die Angst vor Clowns.
