Heey there,
My name is Michaela Amarachi Ugochukwu, I am 16 years old and live in Germany and will be attending Robert Bosch College in Freiburg. I guess I will just go by Amara. I am of nigerian (Igbo) decent but I was born and raised in Germany. I like art (especially fashion) and music a lot but also literature and coding .
Many would describe me as an extrovert because I am really open and (as far as I am concerned) funny and friendly although I would rather describe myself as an introvert, INTP to be precise. INTPs are the typical chaotic scientists who have a kind of "that's none of my business" attitude, till something really interesting for them catches their attention and they begin to analyze it and try to find a logical answer to the given question or szenario. I will fill my "part" if the blog accordingly as I try to find solutions to problems that nobody really finds an answer to and I will explain things such as me believing in God after still taking science into consideration. Also, I will talk about my ups and downs at the college and how I cope with stress the IB programme comes with.
I applied to UWC to make a change. This is probably something you hear from a lot of people visiting one of the 17 Colleges but it is the truth. I am the type of person to always try and find a way to make things better than they already are and I think that UWC displays a great example on how the world could be. It is people from Israel and Palestine peacefully sharing a room and people getting to know each other instead of making vast assumptions based on prejudices and stereotypes. It is communicating and interacting for a better future. UWC wants to show that if it can work in this "bubble" then why can't it work on a bigger scale. We as youth are the future and if we can reach as many people as possible and spread this mindset we can come closer to a world of peace.
